*Eeks* I received the secret 'exam' paper today. Well, the envelope contains the very last assignments for the A103 course. But...problem. The ever so secret pages have been sealed into the return envelope, instead of the top secret instructive envelope that should contain the exam paper and the return envelope. If any of that makes sense! So, I'm just keeping an eye out at the A103 forum to see what is to be done. Ho hum!
As for the current essay TMA07 plan... I've not started yet. I've taken a day or so out to finally get around to reading Wide Sargasso Sea. Holy heck! it's depressing. Just got a few more pages to read before I'm done. And I shall breath a sigh of relief. I thought I had better read it, just to make sure that it would not be a text I could use for the essay. I can tell you, it's a big, fat no! It's an interesting take on the Bertha character from Jane Eyre, Rochester's first wife. But it drains the life out of you faster than the death drain in Guitar Hero 3. So, it is definitely Don Juan and Medea for my two texts. Time to finish the Medea block work, methinks, and gather my thoughts about the Don!

Kid logic.
Principessa is starting to get more argumentative these days. And arguing with some form of logic and fact. The lastest argument is the bedtime argument.
- Me: It's time for bed.
- Princi: Mummy (points to window) it's not dark.
- Me: It's still time for bed.
- Princi: But Mummy, it's still light. It's not dark. It's not night.
What can you say? Perfectly logical. It's more or less impossible to get her to go to sleep much before 11pm at the moment. I am thinking of waking her up at 5am and saying 'But it's light. It's time to wake up."
She's also making me laugh lots when I'm playing Guitar Hero - most of the time at her request. I think she likes the tunes. Why does she make me laugh? She tries to sing the songs. Well, more shout than sing. And it is soooo funny and cute! She especially likes 3's and 7's by Queens of the Stone Age. It makes me think I should re-invest in some QOTSA albums.
(OK, while looking for the 3's and 7's vid to put on the blog, the song started playing and Principessa hoofed it down the stairs, burst through the living room door and looked mightily confused that the GH3 tab was not playing on the TV! Funny little Monkey! Oh, and I call her Monkey because she was born in the year of the monkey, and she climbs like a monkey too!)
Well, I'm just on 1,100 words into the Wallace assignment. Not good as I only have just over 100 words left, and I have more spiritualism stuff to cover, his socialism to start, and a conclusion to wind the whole thing up. I think it might be time to go through what I have written and see if there is stuff there that I can cut. Grrr. I think it is all relevant. And I hate cutting things in case they are the things that are being looked for in the essay. Bum! I'm kind of looking forward to this essay being done with, even though it's been, by far, the most interesting of the units.

Are we what we are?
Principessa this morning:
- You are a drum. Nanny is a giraffe. I am Principessa.
So there you go.
I went a bit ITunes crazy yesterday. After playing GH, some of the tunes have become so ingrained that I need to listen to them some more. I bought some Muse, Heart, Killers and Weezer (though not the song on GH3, but 'Gone Fishin''). And because I just love the video, and I'd never bought a video for the ipod, I got 'Here We Go Again' by OK Go. Such a good vid, and there is an advert on TV that copies it, though I can't remember what for. Ah well.
Rousseau is still feeding my brain at the moment. It's all very interesting reading (oooh, here's a song I haven't heard for ages - 'All I wanna do' by Heart. Love a good rock ballad, me! Sorry for the interruption!) and it is churning the creative juices, though what Rousseau has to do with robots - I have no idea! Wow, six months ago I never thought I'd be talking about Rousseau and how his mental ramblings would inspire me. I didn't know who Rousseau was, let alone be thinking of studying more philosophy. Hmmm.

God of Rock!
Well, not quite yet. I think I'm slightly addicted to Guitar Hero. I went to bed last night and all I could see when I closed my eyes was the bloody fretboard and the notes popping up. I also developed a nervous twitch in my fingers and my hand was independently playing air guitar while I was falling asleep.
I've managed to make a start on TMA04, spurred on by the result for TMA03. I've got about another 200 words to find, but I think I'm just confusing myself with what I'm writing. Will take another day relaxing and launch into it tomorrow.

Come back gladiators, all is forgiven.
Heheeeeeeee, I got my TMA back today. Wow! I couldn't believe it! For once I can't whinge about the mark as I never expected in a month of Sundays to get such a result. I was hoping to achieve around the mark I got for the test TMA (79%), so imagine my glee when seeing a mark of 90%! Absolutely fantastic!
So I am giving myself a day off from the French Revolution and the fall of the ancien regime. I will, instead, be rocking out with Guitar Hero with Principessa. RRRAAAAWWWWKKKK!!!
